The carrier to provide free high-speed onboard internet by way of satellite agreement
Travelers on British Airways are set to enjoy quick connectivity in the air at no cost after a new deal from SpaceX's space company.
Free plus High-speed Internet for All
British Airways stated that this no-cost, “reliable and lightning-fast” internet offering via Starlink is set to be offered for passengers flying economy, business, or premium cabins starting the coming month.
Expanded Rollout Across Various Flight Operators
The umbrella company for the airline, International Airlines Group, stated it had finalized an agreement involving the satellite firm for providing connectivity coverage for over 500 jets across their airlines, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, and Vueling.
Seamless Connectivity from Boarding to Landing
British Airways stated that the introduction of the service formed part of a seven billion pound “modernization” program and will offer uninterrupted wifi coverage to travelers from boarding through arrival, including when they are flying over oceans or far-off locations.
Customers will be able to link several devices and do not have to use a separate access code.
“Gamechanging for us and passengers, elevating the journey in the air with us by offering them continuous connectivity from gate to gate.”

Latest Developments at the Airline
Their management have been focusing to improve British Airways again after years of budget reductions, system failures, strikes, plus mass redundancies.
The airline noted that use of smart technology has assisted them to reach its punctuality to the best levels since 2012.
Profit Outlook
In August, BA disclosed a jump for operating profits for the first half of the year, assisting IAG’s earnings higher.
International Airlines Group will report the results covering the three months this summer shortly.
