Squad Ratings: England Triumph Secured by Kane's Brace in World Cup Qualifier

During a dominant showing, England wrapped up one more victory against their opponents, with several squad members turning in standout displays throughout the game.

First-choice Lineup

The goalkeeper Had little to do to perform in the first half until called into action by an opponent's curled attempt. A sliding challenge on Qazim Laci demonstrated excellent game intelligence. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined by Albania’s primary attacker through Hoxha. Played in a central role to begin with then shifted out wide after a teammate came on. Seven

John Stones Pushed into midfield when in possession, a familiar role in the past. On occasion was too casual on the ball and the tactic discontinued after the break. 6/10

Dan Burn A constant threat from dead balls, typically, perhaps is another option for his teammate in defense rather than his partner. A careless ball after the break came close to the first goal for Albania. 6

The young full-back Another assured performance from the rising star after his debut versus another side. Saka did not capitalize on the opportunity from a gorgeous backheel behind the opposing backline. His position looks secure at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. A bit careless when playing out though his inswinging corners were a threat. A useful game manager for the coach to call upon versus defensive opponents. Booked after a reckless foul. Six

Declan Rice Crosses from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to roam down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Given a merited rest on the hour mark. 6/10

The star midfielder Operated in a high role out wide while also contributed with dirty work. Displayed moments of class and scuffed a shot wide. Substituted towards the end by Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening of the first half, his effort smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to provide width on the right yet his deliveries into the box were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. 6

The captain The match-winner scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals in an England shirt. The opener a trademark opportunist's goal and the second a superb header having drifted away away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering with the national team are strong contenders next summer with him up top. Eight

The attacker Found it tough to influence play from the left. Was presented with a presentable chance after being played in by Bellingham but the keeper denied him. Rashford made much more of an impact when substituted. 5/10
