Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
On-Field Response
The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the interview fallout. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and on a positive run.”
