Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Coast
An aircraft hovering near a popular southern California beach suddenly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Videos uploaded on social media capture the helicopter beginning to twirl over the shoreline then plunging towards the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.

Emergency responders said five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
