In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
